Yellowstone actor-turned-country music star Luke Grimes, 39, has some exciting career news. Fans have been impatiently anticipating the release of his debut album, but as you probably know, no release date has been set just yet. Though, thankfully, the actor who plays Kayce Dutton has released a spattering of singles leading up to his big musical debut including the popular "No Horse to Ride," "Hold On," and "Oh Ohio." Most recently Grimes announced a new version of his song "Hold On," collaborating for a duet with the song's co-writer, Foy Vance, of Northern Ireland.

"'Hold On' has become one of my favorite songs on the (upcoming) album," Grimes said in a press release. "Foy Vance is one of my favorite current songwriters and although he and I couldn't get together in person, I knew I wanted him to be a part of this album. [...] He had this song that had not been cut and I immediately fell in love with the words; I felt so connected to it."
"Hold On" is one of only two songs on the album that Grimes did not write himself, as this track is co-written by Ilsey Juber and Foy. Grimes noted that even though he didn't play a hand in writing the lyrics, the song still has a "familiar feeling."
Grimes announced the new release on Instagram. "Over the last few years there aren't many people whose music has resonated with me as much as @foyvance. He's a giant talent and a master truth teller. I will forever be grateful that we were able to collaborate on this song. Hold On ft. Foy Vance is out now," Grimes wrote.
With Yellowstone on hold for the foreseeable future, Grimes has plenty of time to devote to his music career. This summer he is on tour, performing at fairs and festivals across America.
Luke just announced that his EP Pain Pills Or Pews will be out October 20th. With this, he also announced a tour in support. Ticket go on sale Friday Sept. 22nd.
