On Tuesday, August 15th, Randy Travis alongside his wife Mary, announced from their Texas home that the singer would be honored on November 15th, 2023, by a star-studded tribute in Grand Praire, Texas. The news of the tribute comes shortly after the announcement of A Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis being held at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama on October 24th, 2023.

This year marks the 10th anniversary since Randy’s stroke that nearly cost the singer his life.

“Even in Randy’s silence, he’s still making music. That’s by touching lives, touching hearts, making a difference and inspiring those that are coming behind him. That’s what I love about Randy Travis; that’s what I think others love about Randy Travis,” said the singer’s wife, Mary Travis, during the press conference announcing the tribute.

A portion of the proceeds from both evenings will be donated to The Randy Travis Foundation, whose goal is to raise awareness for stroke and aphasia, as well as providing music enrichment for children.

While the lineup for either tributes has not yet been announced, we can expect that information to be released in the coming weeks. Tickets for A Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis in Alabama are on sale now, while tickets for the Texas tribute will go on sale to the public this Friday, August 18th.

With hits dating back to 1985, the impact Randy has made on country music throughout his career is extraordinary, and well deserved of the love he will undoubtedly receive from both of what will be two incredible celebrations.
