"I need a moment to focus on me and to make myself better for my wife, family and you, the fans," the country singer wrote on Instagram Tuesday, explaining that he is cancelling two upcoming shows.

Back in 2022, Hardy's tour bus veered off the roadway and overturned on its left side. Hardy had significant injuries including a shattered foot, punctured lung, four broken ribs and a fractured vertebra in his neck.

HARDY announced that he has cancelled two of his upcoming shows, as he is currently in the hospital after experiencing several panic attacks since his tour bus crash last year.

The country musician, 33, broke the news in a statement on Instagram Tuesday.

“I need to be honest with everyone for a second,” wrote HARDY, whose real name is Michael Hardy. “I’ve been dealing with some serious anxiety since the bus accident last year, and over the last two weeks it has taken control of my life.”

"It’s caused me to suffer many panic attacks, which have landed me in the hospital," he continued. "I need a moment to focus on me and to make myself better for my wife, family and you, the fans.”

As a result, HARDY shared that he would “need to cancel the two the mockingbird & THE CROW Fall Tour shows on Oct. 5th and 7th” in Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Brandon, Mississippi, respectively.

The “Wait in the Truck” singer wrote that tickets for those two dates will be refunded from the point of purchase and that the Georgia Rodeo show in Winterville, Georgia, originally scheduled for Oct. 6, will now take place on April 12, 2024.

He urged fans to “hold on to your tickets” for the Georgia Rodeo show as “they will be valid for the new 2024 date.”

“My plan is to be back and focused on Oct. 12,” HARDY said of the upcoming show in Jonesboro, Arkansas. “Thank you for understanding, see you soon.”

On Oct. 2, 2022, the singer-songwriter shared in an Instagram post that his tour bus was involved in an accident on the way back from Bristol, Tennessee, following a show the previous night.

HARDY wrote that the four passengers on the bus “were all treated for significant injuries,” and the bus driver remained hospitalized.

At the time, he said he was “released from the hospital, but ordered by doctors to recover for the next few weeks, which may cost us a couple of shows.” After assuring fans that he would "update in the days to follow" about any changes to the tour schedule, HARDY asked them to “please keep our road family in your prayers.” "Thank you for all the texts and calls. I'm alive and that's all that matters," he wrote over the pic. "I love you all."

“This exceptional inductee class for the Music City Walk of Fame embodies iconic moments in the history of music – from Darius Rucker’s rendition of “Wagon Wheel” to Don McLean’s classic “American Pie” to the distinctive twang of Duane Eddy’s guitar,” said Ken Levitan, Chairman of the NCVC Board of Directors and Founder and Co-President of Vector Management. “Nashville’s music industry would not be the dominant force it is today without Joe Galante, who solidified Country as a leading genre in the record industry and who continues to nurture the next generation of music leaders through tech startups and entrepreneur programs.”

The induction ceremony will bestow the 101st, 102nd, 103rd, and 104th stars on the Music City Walk of Fame. Inductees are recognized for their significant work of preserving the musical heritage of Nashville and for contributing to the world through song.

“Darius, Don, and Duane have not only given us the gift of their music and inspired new generations of musicians, but they have also given back generously over their career to important causes that matter to all of us” said Cesar Gueikian, President and CEO of Gibson Brands. “Joe has broken boundaries all throughout his career, developed some of the most iconic Country artists of all time, and is a driving force in our community. All of us at Gibson are proud to join Music City Walk of Fame in honoring Darius, Don, Duane and Joe.”

Pro wrestler legend Ric Flair will induct Darius Rucker. Connie Valens, the sister of the late Ritchie Valens whose death was immortalized in “American Pie,” will present to Don McLean. GRAMMY Award-winner and Music City Walk of Fame member Steve Wariner will induct Duane Eddy. Vince Gill, 22-time Grammy Award winner and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Music City Walk of Fame, will induct Joe Galante.

Rucker was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the two-time GRAMMY Award-winning band Hootie & the Blowfish, before releasing his first Country album in 2008. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2012, and in 2014 he won his third GRAMMY Award for Best Solo Country Performance with his version of “Wagon Wheel.” Rucker’s new single, “Fires Don’t Start Themselves” is available everywhere now as a preview of his forthcoming album set for October 6 release, Carolyn’s Boy.

Don McLean and Connie Valens

McLean is the singer-songwriter behind “American Pie,” the iconic smash hit that was released in 1971 and for almost 50 years held the record as the longest song to reach Number One. Eddy is a rock and roll guitarist who since the late 1950s has been known for his twangy sounds. He is a member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Musicians Hall of Fame. Galante is a Music Row institution, who headed up RCA Records and Sony Music over the course of a nearly 50-year career. He worked with a who’s who of luminaries, from Alabama to Dolly Parton to Alan Jackson.

The Music City Walk of Fame was created in 2006 on Nashville’s Music Mile, a roughly one-mile stretch that connects downtown to Music Row. Permanent sidewalk medallions with the names of inductees are displayed in a star design. For more information about the Music City Walk of Fame, go to visitmusiccity.com/walkoffame.
