Chris Stapleton Forced to Push Upcoming Shows

The Grammy winner announced Wednesday that after being put on vocal rest due to illness, he has had to postpone three upcoming shows in Texas in order to heal.

“To all my friends in Corpus Christi, Houston and Lafayette, I am very sorry to let you all know that I am unable to perform this weekend’s shows,” he said in a statement shared to Instagram. “I have bronchitis and laryngitis, and on doctor’s orders am on vocal rest through the weekend in order to heal.”

“I’m grateful for your patience and understanding, and hope to see you all in November,” he added.

The new dates for his shows are Nov. 16 for the Lafayette set, Nov. 17 for the concert in Houston and Nov. 18 for his Corpus Christi performance.

The “Starting Over” singer is next scheduled to play on Oct. 19 in San Antonio, and will head to the U.K. and Ireland for an additional leg of his tour later this month.

Stapleton — who recently teamed up with Snoop Dogg to cover Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” for ESPN’s Monday Night Football — is set to release his fifth album, Higher, on Nov. 10.

Pop-Star Colbie Caillat Releases Solo Country Album

Caillat, just released her first solo country album, 'Along The Way'.

Colbie Caillat started as a singer-songwriter and solo artist. She rose to fame through social networking website Myspace. She released her debut album, Coco, in July 2007. The album included the hit singles "Bubbly" and "Realize", and is certified 2× Platinum.

In 2018, Caillat formed a band called Gone West with her fiancé Justin Young, longtime collaborator Jason Reeves, and his wife Nelly Joy. The group debuted at the Grand Ole Opry on October 26, 2018, but disbanded in 2020.

With over 35M total streams on the project prior to album launch, Caillat continues to impress after nearly two decades of career success. To date, she has been honored with two GRAMMY Awards, earned numerous RIAA Platinum and Gold certifications, and accumulated more than 15 billion streams across her catalog.
